Author and Healing Medium Annemiek Douw shares her view on the blueprint of your life and who decides what will happen.
When a soul incarnates on Earth, he chooses his incarnation for a reason: he wants to grow and to develop certain skills and therefore chooses a path that will bring experiences that will offer ample opportunities to do so. That’s why the majority of his path is selected before he leaves: he doesn’t want to miss any important events!
Making the Plan
That’s why a soul sits down with a team of personal guides and advisors. Personal guides are beings of Light that have usually been on such paths themselves and who will go on this journey with him just as a personal trainer stays with you and cheers you on during your work out. Advisors are also beings of Light, but they function more as his Management Team: they know the mission he’ll be on and will give him directives, group targets and tools that he can use on the journey. Together they make a plan: the Master Plan, or Blueprint, of his Life.
First they decide which topics he wants to address during this life: does he want to experience physical or emotional pain? And if he chooses the latter, which type of pain might be useful? Loneliness or heartache? Feelings of inferiority or grief? Or a little bit of both?
And if he would like to experience feelings of inferiority: is the best learning path to have a brain disorder, or a dominant father who will make him feel very small, or would it be better if he were very clever and became a doctor and then lose it all ie: by becoming a refugee and not being allowed to practice medicine in his new country and thus feeling inferior that way? So many possible scenarios, so many options to choose from.
Seemingly Inferior
Note that I am not saying that refugees or people with brain disorders are inferior. Not a bit, in fact every soul is equal. And, from Soul perspective nothing can ever be ‘wrong’. Even from a human point of view, everybody is equal. So nothing is wrong there either. It’s just that we are all human, and feelings of inferiority may unjustly pop up: these are a challenge and a good way to grow. The soul who is living through difficult times will have a human perspective that tells him that he is inferior, simply because he thinks he is. Finding out how to handle these feelings, and how to overcome them, is a fast learning track and could be the very reason a soul chooses to come to Earth.
Getting What You Ask For
So sometimes what you see happening in life is hard to swallow: if you don’t have children and would have loved to have had them, it can bring a lot of grief and sorrow, having to live your life without them. And though it might look like something went wrong, in fact everything could be in order. Not having children was exactly according to your Life Plan and thereby provides you with the situation and possibilities to grow as your soul planned. So the painful events of your life can be planned on a soul level. Of course that doesn’t diminish the hurt you feel when you are going through it, but it can still be intentional, planned. That way you get more than you thought: misery isn’t always just misery, but can also be a period of time in which you can develop your coping skills and grow as a soul.
Optional Extras
In addition to planning events in his life, the soul can also add some optional extras when making the road map for his life. Sounds a bit contradictory, but he can. This means that he’ll be free to choose the path he finds most appropriate when certain situations arise. Then he can decide: ‘I want to go right’ or ‘ I choose to go left’. Of course these decisions can impact a life heavily, so different versions of the plan must be written to account for the implications of all possible choices. So a Life Plan isn’t a rigid piece of work. It has numerous layers between which the soul can shift whenever he makes a choice. If Plan A isn’t executed, then Plan B or C will be.
Imposed or by choice?
Then there’s the matter of the ‘obligated issues’ – the experiences he doesn’t plan himself but are planned for him by his team of advisors, his ‘Management Team’. Since the soul comes to Earth not only for himself but also to contribute to the world he will take on some team goals as well as the personal goals he sets. And, as a member of different teams (family, Nation, group of patients with the same disease, etc.) he can decide to grow, and therefore contribute to the consciousness of the group he’s a member of. I’ll write more about these group goals and the soul agreements that come along with them in upcoming blogs and of course in my book 21 Layers of the Soul.
So some of the experiences he plans for are just for his own personal growth and some have a larger impact. From an earthly point of view you cannot tell which is which and there’s a reason for that: if you know what the purpose of an experience is, then it’s possible you wouldn’t really go through it and experience everything your soul planned you to, you will just do it. So too much knowledge can negatively influence the outcome.
As you see the life journey is partly planned by the soul himself after deliberation with his personal guides and partly it’s chosen by his team of advisors. They may add essential experiences that the soul hasn’t thought of himself so his journey on Earth can be as exciting as possible.
Free Will
But still, a soul can make a plan, come to Earth and then be really disappointed because it isn’t what he signed up for? Then what?
Should he decide that the plans that were made are too hard to follow through he can always use his free will. If he really believes he should take a different path, he is free to do so, since it is his life and he alone can decide how he wishes to spend it. No guides, no angels, no passed relatives, even no God above can tell him what to do and what to decide. For it’s his life and he can decide how to spend it. So he is free to choose and to enjoy the ride!

ANNEMIEK DOUW, MSc is a management coach, energetic therapist, lightworker, medium, trainer and author. Coming from an unlikely background in engineering, Annemiek has always been interested in how people think and grow at a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. In her work within the government and business sectors, she began to see how illness comes into people’s lives, often making it unpredictable and seemingly out of control. This influenced her to start exploring bioenergetics and other alternative therapies, eventually leading her to complete a 3-year course at the Natural Medicine Academy South-Netherlands to become a paranormal therapist. In 1998 she dedicated herself to this work full-time. She later fell ill herself for an extended period of time, which allowed her to gain first-hand insight into the human experience of illness, and to learn how the soul is an internal compass that continuously guides. Probing more deeply into how this compass works, Annemiek discovered 21 layers of the soul that influence our ability to grow and to heal in our bodies, minds and relationships. This discovery became the foundation of her unique healing style, and today Annemiek helps clients heal at many levels, and teaches them how to read this compass for themselves. Wanting to share this unprecedented work with a wider audience, she published the Dutch language book De ziel in het licht van haar hogere auralagen in 2011. The English translation of this book is coming in autumn 2013, under the title 21 Layers of the Soul: Healing the Karmic Ties with Friends, Lovers, Family and Enemies.
